How we handle your personal data — in plain language, with the respect it deserves.
We only collect data we genuinely need to run your account, distribute your music and pay your royalties. We never sell your personal information, we store it securely in India, and you can access, correct or delete it at any time by writing to our Grievance Officer.
This Privacy Policy explains how Tunetradr Records Private Limited ("Tunetradr", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses, stores and protects your information when you use tunetradrrecords.com, our distribution dashboard and our related services (together, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to this Policy.
"Personal data" is any information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you — such as your name, email address, phone number, payment and banking details, artist or label information, and data about how you use the Services.
We process your data only where we have a lawful basis to do so:
To distribute and protect your music, we and our partners store your audio and artwork, process the metadata you provide, and may generate digital fingerprints of your recordings for rights detection and Content ID across platforms. This data is used to deliver, monitor and protect your releases.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Services:
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, functional cookies to remember preferences, and analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
Your data is primarily stored on servers in India. Some processing may take place internationally through our partners; where it does, we apply reasonable safeguards (such as contractual protections) to keep your data protected.
We keep your personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. After your account is closed, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 180 days, unless we are legally required to retain it longer.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, authentication safeguards and activity logging — to protect your information. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If a personal-data breach is likely to affect your rights, we will notify the relevant authority and affected users without undue delay, in line with applicable law, and describe what happened and the steps we are taking.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, update or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability. In India, you can exercise your rights under the DPDP Act through our Grievance Officer below. In the EEA/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA), you have equivalent rights, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local regulator. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
The Services are intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If a minor uses the Services, it must be with the consent and under the supervision of a parent or guardian, and we will delete data we learn was collected from a child without proper consent.
If Tunetradr is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will ensure it remains protected and notify you where required.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date, and where changes are material we will notify you where required by law. Continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Policy.
For any privacy question, request or complaint, contact our Grievance / Privacy Officer at legal@tunetradrrecords.com. For general help, email support@tunetradrrecords.com or visit our contact page. We aim to acknowledge requests promptly and resolve them within the timelines required by law.
